Ambassador Foley Celebrates Tolerance with AISB Graduates
On May 25, 2008, Ambassador Foley invited to her residence the graduating class of the American International School of Budapest (AISB). About 100 graduates, family, and friends, as well as AISB leaders and clergy - representing Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, and Hindu faiths - celebrated academic achievements and diversity that strengthen our communities.
In their remarks, Ambassador Foley, AISB leaders, and the clergymen emphasized the positive role that faith can play in our lives, and the importance of tolerance in working and living with those whose beliefs differ from ours. They praised the class of 2008 for being very inclusive and positive in their approach to school, life and friends, and congratulated them on their remarkable achievements, which will serve as a solid base and inspiration for taking full advantage of the opportunities that life has in store for them.
