Chargé d’Affaires Commemorates the Roma Holocaust

Chargé d’Affaires Jeffrey Levine participated in the Roma Holocaust Memorial event organized by the Holocaust Memorial Center on August 2, 2008. Following the ceremony at the Budapest Holocaust Museum, he went on to Nehru Park with the other guests where he gave remarks at a memorial event organized by the Romedia Foundation.
In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of passing the memories of the Holocaust to future generations, underscoring the message: “Never again.” The Chargé also joined Foreign Minister Kinga Göncz in laying a wreath at the Roma Holocaust Memorial Monument.
