Consequences Of Drug Abuse In Hungary

Hungarian law considers the consumption of narcotic drugs a criminal act. This law also applies to consumers who have already become ill or addicted as a consequence of their drug consumption. In Hungary, both dealers in and consumers of narcotic drugs are punished.

People who would like to seek advice about drug-related problems may wish to contact the "KÉK PONT Drogambulancia és Konzultációs Központ" [BLUE POINT Out-patient Drug Department and Consultation Center] at Balázs Béla utca 21. 1094, Budapest. Tel.: 215-7833, 215-0734; e-mail: bluepoint@axelero.hu; web site: www.kekpont.hu.
