Embassy Outreach Trip to Hajdúhadház

On January 8, 2009, Deputy Chief of Mission Jeffrey Levine met with local officials and community members in Hajdúhadház to discuss the recent landmark Supreme Court decision regarding school desegregation.
During his visit, Mr. Levine shared with schoolchildren, parents, and municipal representatives the United States’ own national experience with desegregation, and congratulated those who are working to ensure the Court’s decision is quickly implemented. Mr. Levine also pledged to the people of Hajdúhadház the United States’ moral support as they embark upon this historic undertaking.
