Ambassador Kounalakis noted that the President has reached out to both friends and foes around the world and that the U.S. would honor its leadership responsibilities but at the same time was committed to partnership. She also expressed appreciation for Hungary’s contributions in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Haiti, Iraq and the closing of Guantanamo.
