Chief NATO Commander in Europe visits Budapest and Pápa

Admiral James Stavridis, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, visited Hungary from June 7-9 to meet with senior Hungarian government officials and military leaders to thank them for their NATO work in Afghanistan and the Balkans.

In addition to Budapest, the Chief NATO Commander also visited the Pápa Air Base, home to the multinational strategic heavy airlift unit, and praised Hungary as a strong and reliable NATO ally.
