Top White House Official Promotes Diversity and Women's Empowerment in Hungary
From September 22-23, 2008, a top White House official, Joie Gregor, Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel, visited Hungary to help address one of Ambassador April Foley's top priorities: promoting diversity and women's empowerment.
During her stay, Ms. Gregor delivered the keynote speech at American Chamber of Commerce's (AmCham) 2nd Annual Diversity Conference at the Corinthia Grand Hotel ballroom; spoke at an AmCham breakfast event to two dozen HR executives about how to attract top talent; and participated with notable women leaders in a roundtable discussion on empowerment issues led by Klára Dobrev, the Prime Minister's wife, in the Parliament. Ms. Gregor discussed ways in which organizations can and must incorporate diversity to achieve best results.
