The GATE Green Club Association announces a climate change video competition for Hungarian students aged between 13 and 25. Applicants are required to make a video on the effects of climate change on Hungary and Gödöllő. The video should explain how these effects can be mitigated and how we can adapt to the altered environmental conditions. The video should be uploaded on YouTube and CivilJutub. The purpose of the competition is not the professional quality of the video but rather the creative attraction of attention to the issue and to possible solutions. Both individuals and 2-3 member groups can enter this competition. Prizes: sports equipment voucher and other valuable gifts.

Videos should be recorded on CD and mailed to GATE Green Club (Address: GATE Zöld Klub, Szent István Egyetem, 2105 Gödöllő, SZIE Kollégium, no street address) indicating the applicant’s name, school, e-mail address, telephone number, names of assisting teachers, professors and internet address of the video. Deadline: November 2, 2009

The videos will be screened on November 9-12, at Green Tornado, organized at Szent István Egyetem in Gödöllő. Further information: Ákos Malatinszky, tel: 30-566-3869.
