On December 2, Chargé d’Affaires Jeffrey Levine opened the joint U.S. Embassy and the International Training Center two-day workshop, named “Policing in a Multicultural Environment” held at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest.

Hungarian non-governmental organizations, police officials and hate crimes experts from the FBI, the University of Ontario and the London City Police shared their insights and best practices with forty senior level police officers, and ten prosecutors and judges. The aim of the seminar was to increase public safety and to protect the rights of all people in Hungary by supporting the work of Hungarian law enforcement professionals within a multicultural environment.
