New American Scholarship Program for Hungarians
Following the success of fellowship programs for undergraduates and senior leaders, the Hungarian-American Enterprise Scholarship Fund (HAESF) is proud to announce the establishment of a new scholarship program.
In addition to HAESF's original two fellowship programs, funding is now available this round for the first time for the pursuit of graduate studies in the United States. With the help of the Graduate Scholarship program, endowed by U.S. Treasury funds, Hungary's best and brightest can pursue terminal designation degrees that lead to professional occupations, or professional, post-graduate, non-degree, certificate-granting programs at accredited American universities and colleges or certificate-granting institutions.
The goal of the program is to provide promising future leaders of Hungarian society an opportunity to receive international education that leads to professional occupations, thereby enhancing their contribution to their home country and its development upon their return.
The Scholarship program provides:
up to 3 years of funding supporting terminal degrees that lead to professional occupations, including health, sciences, architecture, engineering, business, accounting, actuarial science, and law.
up to 1 year of funding for professional, post-graduate, non-degree, certificate-granting programs, such as advanced studies in music and the arts.
The maximum amount available for a recipient for any twelve month period is $25,000.
The application deadline for the Graduate Scholarship program is April 15, 2006.
