Ambassador Foley Commemorates International Education Week at Kaposvár High School
On November 13, 2007 Ambassador Foley traveled to the Hungarian city of Kaposvár to encourage students of Táncsics High School to plan for a term of study in the United States.
The Ambassador noted that many of the world's top 100 universities are in the United States. These institutions want more Central European students to apply and frequently offer a variety of financial assistance to help foreign students attend. Moreover, the U.S. Embassy grants 90% of Hungarian student visa applications, so this is not a hurdle for those wishing to broaden their education with study in America.
The students received brochures with links to the Education USA representatives in their area, and other information on preparing for a university or high school year abroad in the United States.
