Ongoing engagement with Hungary's political leaders

Following the lunch with Fidesz Leader Viktor Orbán, Ambassador Foley hosted a June 12 lunch at her residence for the broader Middle Eastern and North African Ambassadors accredited to Hungary and the Socialist Parliamentary Faction Leader Ildikó Lendvai.  The group discussed the current weak business climate and the steps that the government is planning to take to bring about gradual improvement without creating social pain.  The latest developments within the Free Democrats Party were also discussed as well as the possibilities of a new government coalition. (full size photo)
