On September 6, 2007, Ambassador Foley opened a traveling exhibition at Millenaris Park's Red-Black Gallery titled "American Roadside Architecture". The exhibit is comprised of 56 photos by architectural historian John Margolies. It will also be another highlight of Hungary's Month of Architecture in October.
At the opening ceremony Ambassador Foley introduced the exhibition, praised the creativity of the architects and emphasized the importance that innovation plays in the development of society. As the Ambassador noted, the pictures will increase interest in travel to the U.S. The location of the exhibit in a popular Budapest park is meant to ensure a wide audience consisting of Hungarians from all walks of life.
