Summer Work/Travel Program
Under the Summer Work/Travel program, foreign post-secondary students have an opportunity to become directly involved in the daily life of the people of the United States through travel and temporary work for a period up to four months during their summer vacation. Students who do OKJ trainings or accredited higher vocational training courses do not qualify for Summer Work/Travel Program.
The Department of State designates U.S. organizations to administer exchange visitor programs. These organizations are referred to as sponsors. A list of the designated sponsors in the category of Summer Work/Travel can be found in the Designated Sponsors list.
If you are interested in the program, please contact Apex, Bron-Y-Aur, CCUSA, ExploreUSA, Camp Leaders (Hungary) / Camp Leaders in America, U.S. Adventure, or any other designated sponsor in the Designated Sponsors list mentioned above.
For more information, please visit the Summer Work/Travel page of the Department of State.
