Visa Wait Times

Summer is a busy travel time to the United States. We encourage you to apply for the visa well in advance of your planned travel.

Average Interview Appointment Wait Time

  • Visitor visa applicants (B1, B2) - 2 weeks
  • Students and exchange visitors (F, J, and M) - same day
  • All other categories - same day

Average Visa Processing Time

  • All categories - 1 working day

If your visa is approved, you will receive the passport and visa via the courier service within one to three business days after the interview. Please note that at the time of delivery you must pay the courier 1,428 HUF.

All applicants should be aware that the times given above are AVERAGES, and that the processing time of a specific case can vary due to individual circumstance and other special requirements.
